The Young and the Restless kicked off a new week with lots of romance and drama. Here’s a look at a few memorable moments from September 1-5.

Kyle’s Rejection

Kyle (Michael Mealor) messed things up by not being honest with Claire (Hayley Erin) about Audra (Zuleyka Silver). This week, Kyle tried to rectify the situation with a romantic dinner. Everything was going quite well with Kyle apologizing and Claire giving him a second chance. However, Kyle made things worse with his next romantic surprise. Claire was caught off guard when Kyle popped the question. Under different circumstances, she might have said yes, but the timing and intention of his proposal have her questioning their relationship.

Kyle was heartbroken when Claire rejected his proposal, but he vowed he’s not giving up on her. So, all might not be lost for Kylaire.

Audra’s Rough Week

It wasn’t a good week for Audra. Monday started with her finally confessing to Nate (Sean Dominic) about her and Victor’s (Eric Braeden) deal. Audra hoped that by telling the truth, Nate would forgive her, but it only made him angrier.

Later, Audra ran into Kyle in the park, and the two quickly traded barbs. Kyle warned Audra to stay away from him and Claire, but Audra is hellbent on being a thorn in the couple’s side.

When Audra later bumped into Claire and Holden (Nathan Owens) at Society, she couldn’t resist trying to rile up her enemy. Yet, Claire held her own against Audra, and at one point, they almost came to blows. Luckily, Holden stepped in to diffuse the situation. But Audra and Claire’s next encounter could have them getting physical.

Silly Commitment

While it was a tough week for some couples, others found time for romance. Wednesday’s episode featured Billy (Jason Thompson) and Sally (Courtney Hope) taking the next step in their relationship—no, not marriage—but moving in together. Billy adorably asked Sally to move in with a mock-up newspaper article. Although Sally was hesitant, given her previous heartaches, she decided to take the plunge.

This is a big commitment for Silly, whose relationship might be tested by their new living situation.

Romance At The Ranch

Victor (Eric Braeden) is always lavishing Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) with gifts and surprises. Now, it was her turn to return the favor. Nikki planned a romantic dinner, then gifted her husband a ring and a leather jacket. While it wasn’t extravagant, Victor loved the gifts and the thought Nikki put into them. The couple capped off the evening with a slow dance as flashbacks played of Nikki and Victor’s previous dances. It was a beautiful moment honoring Y&R’s beloved couple.
